Azista Bhutan Healthcare, in partnership with CMC Vellore and JDWNRH, recently conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event focusing on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Renal Transplant in Thimphu.
The CME, held at Tashi Yid-Wong Grand, featured esteemed speakers such as Dr. Pem Namgyal, Mr. Jigme Tenzin, Dr. Sonam Tshering, and Mr. P.B.C. Obula Reddy. Renal transplant specialists from CMC Vellore, including Dr. Vinoi G David, Dr. Jeethu Joseph Eapen, Dr. Joseph Johny, and Mrs. Mercy Naomi Deborah, led discussions on CKD, Pre- & Post-Transplant management, and Nursing Care. The sessions were expertly moderated by JDWNRH specialists Dr. Minjur Dorji, Dr. G.P. Dhakal, Dr. Farruk A. Robin, and Dr. Jimba Jatsho.
The event brought together medical experts from India and Bhutan to address the rising prevalence of CKD in Bhutan. Mr. P.B.C. Obula Reddy emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing renal healthcare services and fostering collaboration between the two countries.
